Veronica Dale (Carol Leigh) hitches a ride toward Los Angeles with Edgar Ferrell (Paul Cavanagh), who makes an unsuccessful pass at her. When she arrives in LA, she gets a job with movie producer John Addison's (Robert Ellenstein) company. To complicate matters, Addison is having an affair with Ferrell's wife Lorraine (Catherine McLeod). Ferrell is murdered, and Addison is charged with the crime. Perry Mason (Raymond Burr) must untangle all the threads.
