Guglielmo Marconi created this wireless station on Cape Cod in 1914, which would become the Western Hemisphere's most powerful ship to shore station. Her little-known wireless operators would play a critical role in some of the most dramatic events of the 20th century, communicating with the Hindenberg, Amelia Earhart, and Howard Hughes.
