The name Blanding does not appear in P.G.Wodehouse's books, so the apostrophe in the title is a mystery. Lord Emsworth lives in Blandings Castle, near the village of Market Blandings, Shropshire. Of the six episodes transmitted, only the first survives on videotape. The rest were wiped in a BBC economy drive.
