THE LIGHT portrays the loss of innocence - of life - and parallels good vs. evil, angels versus demons and light versus dark. As a young man, Adam, ventures away from the light, he finds himself in a hellishly dark warehouse. Adam discovers a religious artifact and is immediately accosted by a ruthless ex-con, 'Old Scratch,' and his two cohorts. Violence ensues and it appears that evil has once again prevailed.

Special Trivia
One of the most successful German TV exports, having been broadcast in 102 countries. The phrase "Harry, hol schon mal den Wagen" (Harry, bring the car around) was attributed to Derrick and became part of pop culture at least in Germany and China, although it was never spoken in any of the show's 281 episodes. As a rule, episodes were shown on Friday night at 8.15 p.m. in Germany.
