Buxton was replaced as host by Robert Q. Lewis for the last thirteen weeks of the series. The replacement was due to Buxton's increasing workload as host of ABC's "Discovery" and because of sagging ratings. The producers felt that Lewis would be a bigger draw but the show ended anyway within thirteen weeks.
