The dress shown by María Esteve was worn by his mother Marisol in Marisol rumbo a Río (1963). Initially, this movie was entitled "C'est magnifique" and the numbers were intended to be mimed. This seemed awful to Emilio Martínez Lázaro and he decided that the songs had to be sung by the actors themselves.
