The show was produced in Vancouver Canada for the CBC. Concurrently, it was run in syndication across the United States as a result of an initial order from the FOX O&O stations. Subsequently, the show became a cult classic among the college crowd on the USA Network. Other versions of the show were done in England, Ireland and across Europe.
