Hans Clarin voiced the gnome in the previous Pumuckl films, but because of problems with his vocal cords he is now the voice of Meister Eder (the previous voice of "Meister Eder", Gustl Bayrhammer, died in 1993). Clarin plays the "new" Meister Eder, a young relative of the original.
