Elvis Presley plays Deke Rivers, a delivery man who is discovered by publicist Glenda Markle (Lizabeth Scott) and country-western musician Tex Warner (Wendell Corey) who want to promote the talented newcomer to fame and fortune, giving him every break he deserves.
