The production design and cinematography was an homage to the Hammer Studio films from the 50s and 60s. The main film that inspired the look was Dracula (1958) that starred Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Seamus Walsh who played "Shape" was on stilts which put him approx. 8' in the air.
