Lulubelle the M-3 Lee tank was in reality a M-4 Sherman (an M-3 tank was much taller and had a radial aircraft engine) with the upper deck and turret removed and a fiberglass 75mm cannon in a sponson and upper deck with a 37 mm gun in a turret installed. Nearly all the extras in this film were from the Royal Australian Air Force and The Royal Australian Army.
