With Erik Satie "Gymnopédies" playing in the background at a coffee house, Ricky is working up to telling Jenny something significant. He warms her up with the coffee and some of his philosophy: taking the branch with the most fruit, eating the toast dry instead of waiting for the butter to melt enough to spread. The waitress gets a kick out of this young couple in love. But when Ricky finally gets to what's on his mind, Jenny's response is not what he expected.
