This TV special attracted 2.7 million Canadian viewers making it the highest rated comedy special in the history of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Was nominated for two Gemini Awards but shortly after the nomination ceremony Rick Mercer declined to accept the nominations out of respect for the terrorist attacks on the USA of 11 September 2001.
