Enterprise stumbles upon a crashed insectoid Xindi ship. While all the insectoids are dead, a hatchery with insectoids eggs is still intact, but has failing systems. To the astonishment of the crew, captain Archer decides that the hatchery must be saved. He wants to set an example of the goodness of mankind, even if that will endanger the mission of Enterprise by giving up one third of the ship's antimatter supply.
