The FBI profilers compare two cases in which a whole family, parents and four children, was kept prisoner in their own home while presumed on holiday and killed one by one. The killer must be a control-freak who plans everything painstakingly into the smallest detail, as his whole life, and enjoyed both the planning and lording the last days of their lives, possibly after suffering abuse as a child himself. Now the team applies the profile to possible suspects.
