A battle between the Maximals and Predacons at the Standing Stones sends a beacon to outer space. The beacon calls an alien craft, which seemingly destroys Optimus Primal. Now the Maximals, torn over who should become the new leader, must stop the Predacons from taking the alien artifact while also trying to restore Optimus.
