In an effort to put "Hoot Kloot" theatrical series into "The Pink Panther Show" (1969), DePatie-Freleng showed this short to NBC. NBC executives rejected the idea, because of the scene with the Jewish Indian in this cartoon. "Hoot Kloot" series was finally aired on the "Pink Panther" animated block years later in Cartoon Network.
