Nicole Maurey Biography

Mini Biography
Glamorous French beauty who studied dancing in her early career but switched to films in 1944, where she was cast in various heroine roles. She flirted with Hollywood stardom in the 50s, co-starring with Bing Crosby in Little Boy Lost (1953) and Danny Kaye in Me and the Colonel (1958). She settled in England in the next decade and appeared pleasantly in a variety of films but without much fanfare. Her best movie of that period was the classic sci-fi The Day of the Triffids (1962). She eventually returned to her homeland and spent much time on TV before disappearing from view.
