Mini Biography
Matthew Leutwyler (writer, director, editor) was born in San Francisco and at the age of 12 moved to Marin County, California. From 1990 to 1992 he studied film at The San Francisco Art Institute. Afterwards, he moved to Los Angeles working as a cinematographer. After principal photography ended on _Road Kill (1999/I)_ , Leutwyler moved back to his home town of San Francisco to begin post-production. While editing during the day, he and Bay Area writer Peter Rudy, began writing the screenplay for This Space Between Us (2000). Three months of casting yielded an exciting cast, with Jeremy Sisto, Alex Kingston, Poppy Montgomery and Vanessa Marcil.
