The youngest of an Italian-Polish family of 4 children from Cleveland, Ohio. He received a B.F.A. in acting from Kent State University, and also studied at the American Repertory Theatre Institute at Harvard University. He has lived in New York City since 1992, and has appeared on Broadway in Rent, and has acted in many plays Off and Off-Off-Broadway, and received an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Drama Desk nomination for appearing in the solo show Fully Committed.
