Born in Berlin in 1969, Marco was raised in his home town as the youngest of three brothers. His acting career started somewhat unexpectedly when he was cast to play lead in the award-winning feature 'Europa, Europa' in 1989. The same year Marco played a disabled boy in the German TV play 'Hurengl點k'. After taking actors classes in Berlin und Paris he played the title role in French-American co-production 'Foreign Student' 1993.
