Kieran Gough was born in Romford, Essex in the UK to Irish parents. He lived there until the age of 9 when his father decided to return home to Dublin. From the age of 13 or so Kieran's mother decided that his sharp tongue and cheeky quips would be better utilized onstage rather than at home. She sent him to the respected Betty Ann Norton Theatre School which he attended for three years of weekly classes.
