Mini Biography
Julia Davis was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine. After graduating from her school, Julia applied to and was accepted to the world renowned Kiev Poly-Technical Institute (currently known as the National Technical University of Ukraine), where she earned a Masters degree as an Avionics and Spacecraft Engineer. She immigrated to the United States in 1994 and was accepted to study for her PH D at the prestigious Stevens Institute for Engineering in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Science and engineering were threaded with a linguistic ability as Julia is fluent in English, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian languages and conversive in several other languages. Davis completed a course in basic Persian (Farsi) at the Cal State Northridge and is planning to continue her linguistic studies.
She is also an accomplished classical pianist, having attended a musical school at the early age of six years old and mastered her skills over a decade of training.
In her graduate year of study she began working at the world renowned Dovzhenko Studios in film production where she assisted international co-productions and coordinated with the Department of Ministry in dealing with all aspects of production, film finance, post production, distribution, government clearances, transportation, visas, military and civilian agencies.
Upon her arrival to the US, Julia immediately began to work in the film and television industry as a VP of Post Production, Producer, Director and a produced Screenwriter for Academy Award nominees Burt Reynolds and Charles Durning. She garnered a working knowledge as a Line Producer, Unit Production Manager, First Assistant Director, Second Unit Director and worked as a stunt double for Academy Award-winner Angelina Jolie.
Never camera shy, Julia sought out more of her American dream and was featured in numerous print and ad work publications in Europe and the United States while winning a top model spot in the Fashion Magazine "Top Model".
She set her sights on doing more with her educational background and linguistic abilities by becoming an Inspector with the Department of Homeland Security/ Bureau of Customs and Border Protection. She also successfully completed series of tests to become a Naval Intelligence Officer. Julia was hired by the DHS/ CBP (formerly INS) with top test scores (100%) and graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy with honors and special recognition of her outstanding Linguistic achievements.
Julia loves to read, designs her own clothes, cares for her family who has since immigrated, continues to develop and write screenplays and is currently working on her first novel.
