Creator: ABC TGIF, Baby Neptune, Baby MacDonald, Baby Numbers, Baby Noah, Kenna.com (teen comedy series), EP @ ABC, NBC, Disney. Jim began his career in broadcasting with production level jobs at ABC Sports while attending college. In 1986 ABC Entertainment in Los Angeles hired him as one of their youngest primetime on-air promotion and marketing writer/producers in their history. There he successfully delivered several knock out hits for the network thru 1990 helping launch the hit shows Full House, Perfect Strangers, Moonlighting and several others. He created and orchestrated branding the Friday night lineup of comedy programming, calling it TGIF. This included negotiating agreements in highly volatile relationships between the network, talent, and major studios, and then exec. producing the production team to execute the weekly series of hosted programming. It is here he also began his work in long form programming by creating several promotionally oriented network specials for ABC.

In 1990, Jim persuaded network president, Bob Iger, to help him start his own company and make ABC his first major client with TGIF and a new series called TV Sneak Peek. Mr. Iger agreed and the contract continued successfully for 8 years. With Jim as Executive Producer, Janicek Entertainment did over 1 million dollars in business in its first year. As President, Jim has become savvy in Corporate Operations and Business Law. He's also highly experienced at budgeting, building proposals, executive communications, accounting, and all aspects of media production and delivery.

As of 2002, Jim welcomed the addition of Len Marino from Hallmark/Henson Entertainment to create, Janicek/Marino Creative. JMC currently has Starz/Encore, Charter Communications, DISH Network, ABC, NBC, Disney, and Disney Home Video as continuing clients. He has become an accomplished Writer/Director and is a member of the DGA and WGA. As an original program creator, he has 20 network specials, multiple documentaries to his credit, several drama/comedy pilots, and 5 children's programs currently on the shelves world wide. Baby Einstein's Baby Neptune is number one in sales of childrens/toddler videos for all of 2003.

Jim is respected and published for his promotional marketing expertise and has a degree in Communication, Marketing & Journalism. With 21 years experience and an estimated 1000 hours of entertainment production to his credit, Jim also brings a vast knowledge of the latest production techniques, effects and sound design to each project. His offices include a digital post facility that allows instant response to his clients production needs.
