Born in Bucharest in 1924; at age of 19, during the WWII, when Romania was still occupied by Nazi Germany, enrolles in the Police (Gendarmerie) Academy. After the Russian communist occupation of Romania in 1944, begins in 1947 to publish pamphlets and procommunist articles.
