Caroline Langrishe was born to a Lloyd's underwriter and baronet on January 10, 1958. She did repertory at the Bristol Old Vic, Churchill Theatre, Bromley and the Nottingham Playhouse in England and then moved on to professional theatre and small roles in movies and television.
