Caleb Carr was born in Mahhattan and continues to reside in the Lower East Side. He attended Kenyon College and then subsequently New York University where he earned his degree in history. In addition to being an author of fiction, he also contributes on military and political affairs and is an editor of MQH: The Quarterly Journal of Military History.
