Antonio D. Charity is from Surry County, Virginia. He is the son of James D. Charity, Sr. and Emily M. Charity. In fact, he is the youngest of their twelve children. He graduated from Howard University's College of Fine Arts where he majored in theatre. He booked his first speaking role on Homicide in 1993 while still enrolled at Howard University.
