Mini Biography
Andre was born in Chicago, but grew up in Arizona, where as a youth he spent many hours star gazing and learned the constellations by the age of eight. Andre finished up his Master's Degree at George Washington University and has worked in astronomy research and design, as well as microcomputer applications. Plenty of technical writing and a screenwriting class sharpened his skills and so he prepared a spec script for submission to Star Trek. It was during this process that his agent informed him that the studio was looking for a new science advisor and that he'd be perfect for the job. He has held this position since TNG's final season and has since written three scripts and half a dozen stories for the franchise. He still does a lot of magazine writing and is also a consultant for the Planetary Society. He rounds out his schedule with lectures and an occasional astronomy class. Andre lives in Southern California and continues to work for the Trek franchise, most recently on Enterprise. He is a full time member of the Enterprise writing staff.
